Welcome to Salt and Light Ministry

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.  You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven”  Matt 5:13 - 16

Salt and Light Ministry is the youth division of Divine Arts Ministry and was birthed in response to the call and purpose of God for my life and a sincere desire to pour into the next generation.  It is a non-denominational, multi-cultural, para-church ministry.  This year Salt and Light will have one team of young ladies ages 10 to 17 from various churches in the tri-state area.  This year we will accept a few junior apprentices ages 7 – 9 to be mentored depending on their maturity level.   They may be released to minister with the older team as they develop in their spiritual growth as worshippers and in their technique; be encouraged not everyone will develop at the same pace.

Salt seasons and preserves; Light illuminates and dispels darkness.  The Lord has selected a sanctified group of young ladies who have a heart for worship.  The bible tells us that a child will lead them and I believe that as the Spirit of God pours into these young ladies, that he will use them to pour out his glory in the earth!  They will be the salt God uses in order to flavor and preserve that which is corrupt and decaying.  They will be light to show Christ to those who are in darkness.  They will also be salt and light to the Christian artists who have sacrificed true worship on the altar of compromise and an encouragement to worship God wholeheartedly.

This is not an ordinary group of young women, each has a heart for worship and I believe that they will operate at a level in the spirit realm which is beyond their years.  We are believing God for an anointing in deliverance, warfare, healing, and prophetic and each will be trained in prayer and evangelism.  The Salt and Light Ministry worshippers are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special people, who proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9

This group will attend conferences and be available for ministry in nursing homes, shelters, community outreach and church events.

In addition, the several of our team members attend an annual weekend Worship and Warfare Conference facilitated by Shachah ministries at Blue Mountain Christian Retreat in New Ringgold, PA where they receive intensive training in the word of God, dance, flags, tambourines, and streamers.

I believe the more exposure and training we get, the stronger our team will be.  As we increase our fellowship with other believers of culturally and denominationally diverse backgrounds, our love will increase and our minds will be broadened.  The foundation of our ministry is love, unity, and fellowship and we encourage students to meet new people and get out of the box of “familiarity”.

In His Service,

William & Elizabeth Brown, Jr.
